The problem being solved
Mass shrimp die-offs often occur because of undetected changes in water quality. Farmers rely on manual measurements once or twice a day, so nighttime anomalies go unnoticed and harvests fail.
The Solution
Multi-parameter sensors installed in the ponds send data to the dashboard and app every 10 minutes. Commodity-specific thresholds trigger early warnings so corrective action happens before the shrimp are stressed.
How the Technology Works
Solar-powered DO, pH, temperature, and salinity sensor nodes
LoRa gateway to server with offline-buffer mode
Adaptive threshold model per rearing phase
Multi-pond dashboard with notifications to the operator's phone
Evidence and Test Results
9-month field trial across 18 partner ponds
DO sensor accuracy ±0.2 mg/L against reference instruments
Reduction in unhandled anomaly incidents (pilot data, needs verification)
