Turning palm sugar farmer groups into a supply chain

ARENTRA did not merely build a machine; it built a quality agreement with sap farmers across three villages.

The processing machine solves part of the quality problem, but the raw material still comes from farmers' plots. Without an agreement on sap quality, output will still vary even when the process itself is controlled.

The team drew up simple standards farmers could actually follow in the field: tapping times, container cleanliness, and delivery deadlines — paired with a pricing scheme that rewards quality.

The result is not just a more consistent product, but a plannable supply chain — a prerequisite for entering modern retail and fulfilling repeat orders.

KEY POINTS
Product quality is determined starting in the field
Field standards must be simple enough to be followed
A planned supply chain opens access to modern retail
