Food pilot plant begins serving external users
Pilot-scale production facilities are now open to small enterprises and startups outside the university on a scheduled basis.
The food pilot plant previously served the university's internal needs only. It is now opened on a scheduled basis to small businesses, startups, and outside institutions.
Every user goes through a safety induction, technician support, and batch logging. Process and output data are handed back to the user as the basis for calculating production costs.
Opening access is part of managing the STP as a portfolio of services, with utilization and user-satisfaction indicators monitored every month.
